When the company knew — the timestamp that starts the statutory clocks

The moment a report reaches the employer is generally the “employer knowledge” event that starts the OSHA seven-calendar-day window to record a case (29 CFR 1904.29(b)(3)) and, in California, the one-working-day obligation to give the employee a DWC-1 (Labor Code 5401(a)). This stamp is what makes the intake → triage → case → DWC-1 chain a defensible timeline.
Informational only. Whether a given report constitutes employer knowledge, and what follows from it, is the employer's determination — EHM assists, it does not decide.

Opens the recordability check already filled in from this report. That check — not this button — decides whether the case is work-related, whether it is recordable, and which column of the 300 Log it belongs in.

First aid, near-miss, property-only and dismissed all stay here and never reach the OSHA 300 Log. They are retained — nothing is deleted — so the site's history is complete without overstating what is recordable.
